Help with Mental Health and Substance Use Issues — Without a Trip to the Emergency Department

The Rochester Regional Health Behavioral Health Access and Crisis Center is available for those who need help with a mental health or substance use issue. In many situations, you or a loved one may need assistance right away, but not the full resources of the emergency department. The Center can be an alternative to a trip to the emergency department for an urgent mental health need.

NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED

Adults 18 and over who need care may come to the Access and Crisis Center without an appointment on a walk-in basis. You may also call ahead to be accepted as soon as space is available. If there is a wait, we can give you an estimate of the current wait time before you can be seen.

Behavioral health services are completely voluntary with patients free to come and go as they please. You’ll experience a more comfortable, relaxed environment than at the emergency department.

Our licensed clinicians can assist you with problem solving and safety planning, and they can connect you to other programs and resources for a variety of ongoing mental health and substance use conditions.

Open Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – Midnight. No appointments necessary, walk-ins welcome from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM

If needed, your clinician will refer you to another provider for further evaluation and care. Our goal is to help you easily transition to the provider who will be the best option for any additional treatment you may need.
